New, Cost-effective, Conformance Pass-by PULSE-based Solution

The ISO 362 standard for Pass-by measurements has recently been updated to more accurately reflect real driving conditions in the cities. The update has led to more complex driving procedures, stricter requirements on accuracy and more complete documentation of test results. As a result, it is no longer possible to make standardised pass-by measurements using Sound Level Meters only.

Brüel & Kjær’s new Pass-By Conformance Test System is a PULSE-based system for measuring operational exterior vehicle noise. The system covers common pass-by testing standards including ISO 362:1998 – 2007 acceleration road vehicles, ISO 13325 tyre noise and ISO 5130 exhaust noise.

The Pass-by Conformance test system has been designed to meet the need for a cost effective, pass-by test solution that is very fast to set up on-site and very simple to use even for those with very little experience in pass-by testing.
